  2. Files:        NetSoft LAN is distributed in one of two forms:

  4.               1. NSLAN140.ZIP   (PKzip 2.04g)
  5.               2. NSLAN140.EXE   (PKzip 2.04g self-extracting file)
  6.  
  7.               NSLAN140.ZIP contains NSLAN140.TXT and NSLAN140.EXE
  8.  
  9. Description:  NSLAN140 is version 1.40a of NetSoft LAN, a complete
  10.               Local Area Network for DOS and Windows PC's and laptops.
  11.  
  12.               Using Serial Ports, Parallel Ports, Ethernet Cards,
  13.               Arcnet Cards and Modems to communicate.
  14.  
  15.               NetSoft LAN is 100% MS-NET, IBM PC LAN and WinNet compatible.
  16.  
  17. IMPORTANT:    Please make a back-up copy of NSLAN140.ZIP  so that you
  18.               can copy it to other machines on the network. This file
  19.               is deleted as part of the installation process.
  20.  
  21. Installation: After Unzipping NALAN140.ZIP the following files will exist:
  22.  
  23.               1. NSLAN140.ZIP         The original distribution file
  24.               1. NSLAN140.TXT         This File
  25.               2. NSLAN140.EXE         (PKzip 2.04g self-extracting file)
  26.  
  27.               NSLAN140.EXE contains the following files:
  28.  
  29.               A. NETSOFT.IE           (NetSoft Archive File)
  30.               B. UNPACK.COM           (Expands NetSoft Archive File)
  31.               C. UNPACK.TXT           (README file for UNPACK.COM)
  32.  
  33.               Run the UNPACK.COM program to create the network files. e,g,

  36.               C:\INSTALL\>UNPACK (press enter)
  37.               --------------------------------
  38.  
  39.               The network set-up program (NETSETUP.EXE) will automatically
  40.               start and allow you to install the network files.
  41.  
  42.  NOTE:        UNPACK.COM deletes NSLAN140.ZIP, NSLAN140.EXE, NETSOFT.IE,
  43.               UNPACK.TXT and UNPACK.COM as they are no longer required.
  44.               
  45. Distribution: Distribute freely
  46.               As long as NETSOFT.IE, UNPACK.COM and UNPACK.TXT remain
  47.               unchanged.
